Brick Tinting:

In recent years there has been a marked increase in the demand for facing bricks. Additionally, it is quite noticeable that general awareness concerning the aesthetic appearance of brickwork has also increased. Consequently the majority of remedial activities surrounded the tinting, cleaning, repair of facing bricks.

It is essential when tinting bricks to maintain a natural appearance;any artificial effect would be aesthetically unacceptable.

It is hoped that the photographs from the website, demonstrate that properly applied under correct conditions, tinters are able to dramatically change the colour and appearance of the brick and yet still retain their natural characteristics, including all subtle effects of 'flash' and 'bar' markings.

In order to be effective, the tinters have a low viscosity and are absorbed into the brick, similar to the effects of stain on woods opposed to gloss paint, consequently they have little or no effect upon the texture of the brick.

For the less absorbent smooth faced bricks we have developed a range of acrylic resin based tinters which provide a more effective solution to the problems set by this type of brick.

Please see below a few examples of Brick Tinting transformations we have undertaken. If you would like to see more, please visit the gallery to see a range of works we have undertaken.
